Before starting Banyan Investments, Aamir spent 25 years with Cargill, Incorporated in the United States, South America, Europe and Asia.  Cargill, Inc. (headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is one of the world's largest corporations involved in agriculture and global food and commodities.  At Cargill, Aamir held various executive positions including treasury, global funding, strategy and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to Cargill, Aamir spent 10 years with KPMG in Europe, Middle East and Asia, involved in the assurance practice and in management consultancy.  Aamir thus brings with him over 35 years of global financial and general management experience to the opportunity in Detroit.

Aamir is a Chartered Accountant (CPA) and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.


Scott Ord

General Manager

As co-founder and general manager of the Banyan Investments group,  Scott is specifically responsible for determining the acquisition strategy in terms of geographic locations and specific properties.  He is also responsible for overseeing the projects team.   

Prior to starting the venture in Detroit, Scott has had experience in property investment, rehabilitation and rental management with investments in Sydney and London, as well as the real estate market in France and Singapore. 

Scott has a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.


MIKE D'AGOSTINO

DIRECTOR oF CONSTRUCTION

For over 40 years Mike D'Agostino has been at the forefront of the modernization movement in Metro Detroit. Mike brings with him many years of practical hands-on knowledge of the construction trade, and a vast background of architectural design and functionality. As Director of Construction, Mike's primary responsibilities include forecasting project budgets, establishing construction timelines for new projects, and most importantly ensuring that existing projects remain on schedule and within budget.

As a native Detroiter, his work with the Banyan Group resurrecting and enhancing the place he calls home is truly a labour of love. Restoring buildings that in some cases have been unoccupied for decades provides both an interesting challenge and a great feeling of satisfaction.


Wayne senior

MANAGing broker

Wayne has been a successful broker in the Detroit area for the last 45 years, including running his own brokerage business (Lakeshore Realty).  Wayne is highly respected in the areas in which he operates, including the historic West Village and Indian Village, where he has been directly involved in intensive restoration projects on multiple properties, as well as surrounding areas like Wyandotte and Trenton.  Wayne acts as the advisor to the CEO and the general manager on property selection and geographic target area selection.  He is also responsible for the negotiation and closing of large or complex transactions for the Banyan group.

Wayne graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree.


Ca'mis mcgee

Ca’Mis has been in the accounting field for nearly 10 years, first starting her career in the governmental sector as a tax clerk for the City of Highland Park in 2006. In just over a year, Ca’Mis was promoted to Senior Tax Assessor, in which she managed the city’s Income Tax Department for the next three years. During this time she headed an amnesty program, which resulted in the collection of over $200,000 in delinquent city income taxes. After leaving Highland Park, Ca’Mis went on to work for the City of Hamtramck’s tax division for a short while and then decided to broaden her accounting experience beyond tax accounting. Ca'Mis is responsible for accounting and finance at Banyan.

Ca’Mis is a Certified Bookkeeper and has an Associate Degree in Business. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.


erica white

LEASING TEAM LEAD

Erica is responsible for facilitating the leasing of homes by showing them to potential renters and assisting with the application process. Before joining the Baynan team, Erica worked in ReSale Management and has over ten years of customer service experience.

Erica has a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan.
